Meet the Lady who Made this Product

Noreen Tanui

Noreen was born and raised in Lelan. According to the Pokot traditions, she was gifted to her grand mother while still young forcing her to live with her grand mother while taking care of her. She completed her primary level education but her score was not satisfactory. She was forced to stay home until she learnt of Jitokeze and asked her parents to enroll her. Noreen is a passionate lady and she took her training seriously and within two years she completed her training. She started producing while in her second year and by the end of her training, she had raised enough capital for a sewing machine. She went back to Lelan in 2018 and started her small business. She however closed it down after learning that she could still work at jitokeze and raise income. Through sewing, Noreen has leased a farm where she plants potatoes and onions. She has also started a poultry project and is planning on buying a piece of land in future.
